The medieval residences in Clinker Gothic style in the former Hanseatic League cities Wismar and Stralsund are part of the Unesco World Heritage. You get there in 2,5 to 3 hours by train from Berlin.
You pass the former Hanseatic League city Greifswald with its over 500 years old university on the way from Berlin to Stralsund. Shortly before the Greifswald stop, you can change at Zuessow to the Usedomer Baederbahn - the train to Usedom island spa - taking you to the beaches of Zinnowitz.
